Megan and Karl: Interstate investors
Karl and Megan's journey to purchasing an investment property was initially fraught with challenges. They had first tried to handle the process of buying interstate themselves but found it straight-up frustrating. As Karl said "We tried to do it ourselves and it was just painful. It was something we tried a couple years ago, and you know, we just didn’t want to do this again. It was just really frustrating…. We got no feedback, no nothing.” Ultimately, Karl and Megan gave up on buying their interstate investment property at that time.

Karl explained “Megan had a conversation with our broker Summer, and explained what we went through last time. We tried it before, and it actually made us really gun shy on doing it again. We obviously went to Summer to get finance, and she gave Megan a brief explanation and said these blokes do whatever you need them to do and make life easier."

"And to top it off, Boyd was so excited about this place at Ipswich that we ended up buying. Megan and I thought, shit, well if he is excited it has got to be a good thing. The way he was sending messages and communicating, we thought if he is this excited it has to be pretty good. It was just a no brainer, it sold us as well, that if he thinks it’s a good deal, this is what he does all day everyday so let’s just do it. We put all our trust in that and off we went.”
And there was good reason for them to be excited about purchasing their property.

Six weeks after the property was first listed, Boyd re-joined negotiations and secured the property for $543,000.
