Bella: First-time Investor
19-year-old Bella came to Property Navigation after wisely choosing to invest her inherited money. Not knowing the first steps to buying a house, Bella sat down for a Discovery session to work out her budget, needs, and goals.
After getting her finances sorted with our mortgage broker partner, Bella opted to rent-vest, or in other words, continue renting in the area she wanted to live while buying a foundational investment property in a high-growth area.
Within four weeks, we found a home that met Bella’s criteria in Logan, Queensland. Set on an 800m2+ block, the property had over 13 contracts on it. Knowing the property’s market value was $520,000, we signed a contract for that amount.
We spoke to the listing agent and discovered three other buyers had contracts for the same price. After discussing the terms we put forward with the agent, it was decided that Bella’s bid was the strongest overall, and we secured the property for the price we put forward, avoiding a bidding war.
